The Technique of Beauty [0]
— Prologue
From the diary of Taunis Haas:
— January 5, 2013
It is not “what is” or “how it is” that interests me, but “what I think” and “how I thin
So, “what works” and “how it works,” existence and not the essence of things.
The actions, and not the facts.
For “knowing” is not a fact, but an action; an action that is experienced, that is internalized, one way or another.
The essence of the “thing in itself” is unapproachable, but its existence can be touched, tasted, smelled, heard, and seen through experience.
I am not an “all-knowing,” but an “unknowing” narrator.
Thus, we create the facts.
